Station Articles are postal articles intended for delivery by the Post Office to which they are addressed. Unpaid or insufficiently prepaid letter mail articles intended for delivery through a Sub Office or Branch Office are treated as Station Articles when sent to the concerned Head Office or Sub Office.

Sorting Articles are postal articles sent to a Post Office or Mail Office for sorting and onward transmission to the office of final destination or to another Sorting Office.

An Insured Bag is used to provide additional security for Insured Parcels, including Insured Value Payable (V.P.) Parcels.

An Insured Bag is neither a Due Bag nor an Unusual Bag and does not contain a separate list of its contents, as the details are recorded in the Ordinary Parcel List.

The Foreign Philatelic Deposit Account (FPDA) service is available only at the Philatelic Bureau, Mumbai for foreign stamp collectors.
